TINY AQUARIUM IN A JAR
CROCHET PATTERN

Crochet hook
I used a 2mm hook for this
Scissors
Large needle
YOU WILL NEED TO KNOW
sc - single crochet (US), double crochet (UK)
ch - chain
ring
st - stitch
dc - double crochet stitch (US), treble crochet stitch (UK)
tog - stitches closed together
I will use US terminology for this pattern.
THE BASE
Ring of 3
6sc into ring (6)
2sc per st (12)
sc (1 per st) but 2sc in every 2nd st (18)
sc (1 per st) but 2sc in every 3rd st (24)
sc (1 per st) but 2sc in every 4th st (30)
sc (1 per st) but 2sc in every 5th st (36)
sc (1 per st) but 2sc in every 6th st (42)
sc (1 per st) but 2sc in every 7th st (48)
sc (1 per st) but 2sc in every 3rd st (74)
Plant 1
Foundation chain of 25
Over top loops: 10sc (1 per st), 5hdc (1 per st), 10dc (1 per st).
Sew on to base.
Plant 2
Foundation chain of 20
5sc (1 per top loop) over chain
ch7, turn, 7sc (1 per loop) down top loops of chain, then 2sc (1 per loop) over top loops of foundation chain
ch5, turn, 5sc (1 per loop) down top loops of chain, then 2sc (1 per loop) over top loops of foundation chain
ch7, turn, 7sc (1 per loop) down top loops of chain, then 2sc (1 per loop) over top loops of foundation chain
ch5, turn, 5sc (1 per loop) down top loops of chain, then 7sc (1 per loop) over top loops of foundation chain
Sew on to base.

6sc into ring (6)
2sc per st (12)
sc (1 per st) (12)
sc (1 per st) (12)

Sc into next sc from hook, ch5, sc into same st, repeat all around (12 times total)
Sew on base.
Plant 4
Foundation chain of 25
Over top loops: ch3, sc into next st, 4sc (1 per st), repeat 4 more times.
Sew on to base.
Sew on sea star.
Seashell
Ring of 3
6sc into ring
2sc into 3st, 3hdc into next 3st (12)
2dc into next 4st
Sew on to base using a different color.
Make one more BASE, to cover up the mess made on the bottom by all that sewing. Place the 2nd base facing the 1st one and sc around the perimeter, attaching the two together.
Fish
Ring of 3
6sc into ring (6)
2sc per st (12)
sc (1 per st) but 2sc in every 2nd st (18)
sc (1 per st) but 2sc in every 3rd st (24)
Fold circle in half
place 5sc (1 per st) but going through both layers of the folded circle, 5dc into next st, sc into the next st, then 3sc (1 per st), 3sc into next 2 st.
Wrap yarn around tail and tie off. Sew on eyes.
Attach fish to lid of jar.
FINISHED!
