BY: YULIYA'S CRAFTS

You will need:

  • Yarn - I suggest using chunky yarn or 2strands of dk

  • Scissors
You will need to know:

ch - chain
top/bottom loop - the loops of a chain
chain space - the space behind a chain or long stitch
sc - single stitch
dc - double stitch (US), treble stitch (UK)
tr - treble stitch (US), double  treble stitch (UK)
slst - slip stitch
st - stitch
* - keep the marked stitch on the hook ( do not close yet)

NOTICE:

Always turn with a ch1.

Whenever a tr is the first st of row, replace it with slst+ch4.

Foundation chain of 240.

  1. sc (1 per top loop) (240)
  1. tr (1 per st) (240)

5sc (1 per st), FPdc into 1tr of row 4. Repeat for the rest of the row.

Finish with 4sc (1 per st) in the 4 last st of the previous row.

Change color again.

  1. Repeat steps 2-6, but replace all FPdc with BPdc.

For step 6, start with 4sc (1 per st), then 1BPdc into 1tr. 5sc (1 per st), BPdc into 1tr of row 4. Repeat for the rest of the row. Finish with 7sc (1 per st).

Total: 240

  1. tr (1 per st) (240)

  1. sc (1 per top loop) (240)

TASSELS: Attach the tassels to the edges of the scarf. I suggest taking 8 strands of yarn and looping them into the chain space 3dc deep (sideways). Do not attach tassels to rows that only contain sc. You should have 10 tassels per side, each roughly 10cm long.

FINISHED!
